Waking up to this chocolate bowl on Mother's Day morning would definitely put a smile on my face...and making the bowl put an even bigger smile on my daughter's face!
How We Did It
We blew up our balloon to a small size and rinsed the outside with water. We wanted a little bowl that wouldn't break easily.
I melted the chocolate chips in the microwave. Be sure to stir every 15 seconds or so. They can melt fast!
I made sure the chocolate wasn't too hot and Emma dipped the top part of the balloon into the chocolate. I had her do this a couple times to make a thick bowl.
We placed it on a plate lined with wax paper and popped it in the freezer.
Once the chocolate was hardened we took it out and popped the balloon. It easily pulled away from the chocolate.
Emma was thrilled with her bowl and loved filling it with berries. Look how fancy it looks!
