Clay Flower Pots
I had a few spare planting pots sitting around, so I decided to pull together this simple and fun activity for my visiting niece. Together we shaped flowers out of clay and decorated a tiny pot. After the clay dried, my niece gave the decorated pot to her mother.
What You'll Need
- clay
- terra cotta pots (1)
How We Did It
Choose a variety of colored clay. Crayola's Model Magic works well because it is easy to shape and doesn't stain. However, any type of clay that hardens will work.
Decorate the pot however you like! To make flowers, we rolled up green clay for the stems and shaped red clay into petals.
Let the clay dry according to the packaging directions -- usually about 24 hours.
