Dreamcatchers are a great craft for an older child. Threading and pattern-making with beads are always a big hit.
How We Did It
Yarn or twine is best for this, so it's easy to thread on the beads.
We started out by tying a few strands of yarn to the inner hoop. We wrapped them around several times until we liked how it looked in the center. Next, we tied off the yarn and placed the top hoop on.
We tied a few more strands of yarn to the bottom of the hoop to hold the beads.
My daughter loved customizing these with all sorts of beads. We tied the yarn around the last bead of each strand to hold them all in place.
Our dream catcher was ready to hang! We used more yarn to add it to a tree in the yard.
