This colorful project will have you embracing fall head on! With a couple of simple materials, these fall leaf magnets can adorn your refrigerator too!
Start by printing out the leaves printable on cardstock. Next, cut out your leaves (V.'s not quite old enough for scissors yet--but of course this is a step that slightly older kids can do on their own). Then gather all materials and tools for the project.
Next, remove the backing from the sticky-back magnetic strip and place in the middle of each leaf. (It is important to put the magnetic strip on before you start the project because the card stock curls up once you add to the tissue paper.)
Scrunch up a tissue paper strip into a ball. It can be loose or tight, whatever your kiddos desires for his or her creation.
Next, dip each tissue "ball" base into the glue. V got a little carried away with the glue at times (having toddler fun!). If this is the case, just scrunch up extra pieces and place in those glue filled portions on the leaf, therefore soaking up the extra glue spots.
Finally, place each paper ball on the leaf, covering the entire leaf surface. This will create a colorful mosaic.
