New ways of painting always gets my kids' attention. This was a fun version of splatter paint and they loved being surprised by how each painting came out. Shaking the box was pretty fun too!
How We Did It
My kids got very interested when they saw me grab marbles and paint. They immediately followed me to the yard. (I was expecting a colorful fun mess, so we stuck to the outdoors for this one.)
We laid our paper in the box and Emma added a few squirts of paint on the side of the box.
Next, the marbles went in!
Shake, shake, shake! I guess it's more of a roll, roll, roll, but you get the idea. You want the marbles to move back and forth through the paint and over the paper.
The paintings came out really great! We decided to make a few cards to send to family by just using a thicker paper. The kids loved adding more colors and seeing what they could create. It was a fun afternoon for all.
