Newspaper Ornaments
Our four-year-old son has entered the dinosaur phase--he loves them! So much so that he wanted to decorate the Christmas tree with dinosaur ornaments. Unfortunately, we don't have T. rexes in our Christmas storage bin--so we got creative and made our own. This turned out to be an easy and fun craft that our son loved. Best part for me: We were able to make them from items in our recycling bin!
What You'll Need
How We Did It
We cut the newspaper and cereal boxes into smaller rectangles so that the cookie cutters would fit on them.
Then we glued the newspaper to the cardboard (yes, right on top if it). We used white glue, but any kind of glue would work for this.
Our son picked out some dinosaur cookie cutters and traced them onto the newspaper. (You could use any kinds of cookie cutters--butterflies, stars, gingerbread, etc.)
