No-Slip Socks
What's better than slipping into a fresh pair of socks? Wearing socks that were made with love! These no-slip socks are a perfect gift for children to make for their cousins, siblings, or friends!
What You'll Need
How We Did It
Gather all of your supplies and lay out newspaper to protect your workspace. (I have my daughter wear old t-shirts while using fabric paints--just in case!)
Trace two shoe shapes onto cardboard, then insert the cardboard into the socks.
Now you can let the kids get started on painting the bottom of the socks. After my daughter finished her designs, we let the socks dry overnight.
Once the socks are dry, they are ready to be worn or wrapped up for a gift. My daughter made these for her cousins for Christmas, but once they were finished she had to keep a pair for herself. They did come out pretty cute, I may need a pair for myself!
My grandmother always made me wear no-slip socks in the winter and I never wanted to! If I had made my own special pair, I would have never taken them off!
