Pipe Cleaner Crown
With only 2 materials, this pipe cleaner crown is sure to be a perfect addition to playtime.
How We Did It
Gather your two materials.
Start off by twisting six pipe cleaners together in one long strip. We used two for each set of three loops. The twisting was somewhat challenging for V at first, but once she got the hang of it, it proved to be fun.
Next, stand back and admire your super long pipe cleaner creation! V was amazed at how long it was, and truth be told - we could have stopped right there in the project! She would have been perfectly happy with just her pipe cleaner "snake".
Next, for every two matching pipe cleaners in the long "snake", I looped them into three loops by twisting and tightening. I did this three times for the six pipe cleaners - the flat blue first, the sparkly blue in the center, and then the other flat blue. This step proved to be too difficult for V, who is 3 1/2, but an older child would have no problem completing this step. I then completed the crown by attaching the remaining two pipe cleaners to the ending loops, one on each side. I then connected them to fit her head.
V then decorated her crown with the foam stickers. She loved this part, it was very big deal to her, to find the proper placement of the crown "decorations".
Finally, grab a mirror, place your crown, and admire your new creation!
