Salt Painting with Liquid Watercolor
Painting with salt is like magic! It’s mesmerizing to watch the paint climb up the salt crystals. Younger kids will be happy drawing abstract designs and doodles, while older children can try more deliberate designs like animals, letters or people.
What You'll Need
- pipette (or paint brush)
How We Did It
Let the glue dry for about 20 minutes. (To speed up the process, you can set a blow-dryer to “warm” and blow-dry the design outside.) The glue doesn’t have to be completely dry before starting the next step.
Dip a pipette (or paintbrush) into liquid watercolor and gently apply it to the salt. (You’ll have more control with a paintbrush, but more fun with a pipette!) Like magic, the color will climb up the crystals!
