Shredded Paper Snowman
My kids are drawn to the noodle like paper our shredded puts out. Every time we are emptying the basket they want to use the shredding for pretend food, hair on a craft doll and just to make a mess with! I decided this paper needed a good use. This snowman is so fun to make and afterwards you can have a paper snowball fight!
How We Did It
Empty that paper shredder bin and gather some glue, pipe cleaners, and a couple buttons.
First, start balling up the paper into snowballs. Be prepared they are very tempting to throw! My two-year-old could not get enough of this step. This was his ideal craft!
Once you have your three different size paper balls you can glue them together. Make sure the balls are nice and tight and just stack them with the glue.
A smaller snowman may need to lean against something heavy for support while drying. We made this nice big one that was well supported.
Grayson thought it was very funny to add a face to these paper balls. He glued on two button eyes and we cut a little piece of pipe cleaner for a little carrot nose.
For a hat a took another pipe cleaner and twirled it into a hat form.
There you go! A perfect paper snowman. A good use for those paper shreddings and a good excuse to now have a snowball fight with no snow!
