I teach my children to make healthy food choices every day in the best way I know how--by making healthy choices for myself. It has worked liked a charm so far. "Be the person you want your children to be." Not sure who said that, but it is very true! My children love being in the kitchen with me, and I love setting an example for them at these very early ages.
We tried to pick salad ingredients that wouldn't get too soggy. We used nuts, dried fruit, a shredded broccoli mix, apples, and squeezed some lemon over the top. Easy, fresh, and can last in a jar for awhile!
Emma added all the ingredients. This is her favorite part, so I had it all proportioned out and ready for her to add into the jar.
