St. Patrick's Day Charms
Charm necklaces never disappoint my kids! The best part about these is that we made them using a recycled milk jug! They came out looking great and got my kids thinking about other ways they can reuse recyclables for art. I love that!
How We Did It
The excitement starts whenever I pull out the sharpies! Emma will jump on any opportunity to use the grown-up markers!
First, I started by cutting the milk jug into large flat pieces. The kids found other uses for the cut up jug! It's pretty tough to cut through so this was definitely a grown-up step, but I had Emma help sketch out her charms.
Next, she got to work coloring the charms with the markers and we let them dry for a few minutes before punching holes at the top of each one.
We chose some appropriate green yarn to thread the charms onto, and were all set to wear our green on St. Patrick's Day!
