Make your own beautiful stained glass art in just a few easy steps.

How We Did It

Stained Glass Art
Make a mixture of equal parts glue and water. I started with about 2 Tablespoons of each. Lay a large piece of wax paper on your work surface.
Stained Glass Art
Cut several pieces of yarn in different lengths. Put the yarn in the glue mixture to soak.
Stained Glass Art
Cut different pieces of tissue paper and lay them on the wax paper. The size and shape does not matter, but try to overlap the pieces slightly. We held ours in place with the dot painter bottle.
Stained Glass Art
Take the pieces of yarn out of the glue mixture and arrange them on the tissue paper. Get creative and make any shape you want. We tried to cover the seams of the tissue paper with the smaller pieces of yarn. If you are only using a single sheet of tissue paper, then the shape of the yarn can be arranged any way you'd like.

Let the glue dry. Ours took a few hours. Then, cut around the yarn outline. Remove it from the wax paper and hang it in a window. I used a small piece of tape, but you can also attach a piece of yarn on the back to hang it from.
