Terrific Triangle Art
Learning about shapes and letters can be a lot of fun, especially when there is an art project involved. So for the letter "T," why not try out making terrific triangle art using toothpicks?
How We Did It
Using glue, my five-year-old outlined his triangle and then stuck the toothpicks down himself.
The three-year-old needed a little help making the shape so I drew some dotted lines of the triangle for her, then she glued along the lines.
Then she added the toothpicks in place. Both kids love any project that has glue so they loved gluing all the triangles and making their designs.
That's all there is to it for this simple art project. Now the kids have a display of their terrific triangles. If you wanted to be more advanced, you could discuss the different types of triangles, or see how many they can fit on one page, or even what designs they can make with triangles. For today, we just stuck with some free style creating.
