Tin Box Monsters
When my daughter started stashing all her little trinkets, hair clips, and crayons in empty mint boxes, I knew it was a craft in the making! By adding a little bit of felt and some googly eyes, these boxes were transformed into adorable little treasure keepers that were personalized by a very creative five-year-old
What You'll Need
- tin box / mint box (such as empty Altoid boxes)
- felt
- tacky glue
How We Did It
We hit the recycle box for this craft and collected all the little mint tins we have been saving. Emma pulled out a few favorite felt colors, and we got lucky and found some hairy monster fabric!
Emma got to work adding felt to the top. She decided to make some sort of colorful horse on her first tin. It would be fun to do a whole set of farm animal tins or fun monsters.
When they were all dry, Emma decided what each tin would hold and filled them up with all of her tiny collections. What will your child hold in their special treasure tin?
