Transferring With Tongs

Our yard is full of all kinds of natural treasures. Like many kids, my son is an avid collector of rocks, sticks, etc. We decided it would be fun to not just collect nature treasures, but to use the items in a game.
He tried moving as many treasures as he could using different kitchen tools to a plate on one end of our kitchen. He had a lot of fun coming up with different ways to move the objects and different ways to use the objects.

How We Did It
He was right: The pancake flipper did a great job of holding the leaf and getting it to the paper plate.
The jar lid turned out to the be easy too. All he had to do was find the right-sized treasure to fit in the lid.
I love how he decided to carry the leaf in the whisk. It had to be pulled out when he got to the plate though.
He had a great time exploring each of the kitchen tools. Some created a challenge as to how they could be used. I loved watching him analyze how to use each one to get the leaf moved. Yes, with all these wonderful things in the pan, he stuck to leaves. I guess he decided they were the easiest to work with!
