All of the leaves have fallen and our trees were looking a little bare, so we gave them some sparkle with CD's turned tree jewels! Great way to recycle old CD's and decorate the yard.
How We Did It
We have a stack of old CD's that the kids use for art pretty often. They have made CD animals and all sorts of neat creations. For our tree jewels we wanted sparkle! Gems and sequins did the trick. We also tried glitter glue which looked so beautiful on the CD's, but peeled right off when dry.
Emma used tacky glue to decorate the CD with the gems. The sparkle on sparkle effect was very cool to look at.
Our bare winter tress were dressed up and looking beautiful once we hung our jewelry with yarn on the branches.
