Felt Native American Headband
Activity DesignerJen Hansard
Dress up is a daily event in our house--we have the princess dresses, the pirate swords, and the cowboy hats. I always like to throw new characters into the mix and listen as the kids improvise their new roles. This felt headband is fun to make and definitely one of my personal favorites.
What You'll Need
How We Did It
Cut different colors of felt into feather shapes so your children can pick and choose which ones they want. (We cut the felt for our young kids since it was a little tricky. Older kids can definitely do this step on their own!)
Tie the two brown strips together with some sort of string. (This is my favorite thing about this craft- the side tie just adds so much character.)
For extra oomph, add an accent color of felt to the actual band and glue on. Let the glue dry for a few hours before trying to wear the headband.
