Do you feel like your child can express his or her creativity at school?
Sometimes I feel like my kids are given too many templates at school and shown examples that are too prescriptive...anyone thoughts on how to foster creativity at school (when you're not there)?

I think what you can do is encourage your child not to copy the teacher's example or his/her classmates and get them excited about creating a truly special piece of art. also, explain to them that art is beautiful because it is unique...how old are your kids?

-comment on thishmm good point, i hadnt really thought about this before but now that you bring it up...when i went to a parent/teacher conference a few weeks ago, i was surprised to see how the artwork on the walls looked so similar....they had painted autumn trees and the colors and technique used were the same.
